Around 48 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube every minute. It would take you approximately 2800 years to watch all those millions of videos. So good luck trying to find something worth watching on your lunch break.
Devour is here to help. Using a scientifically technologically artificially intelligently awesomely robotically humanly system (we hand-pick every video on the site), Devour sifts out the best videos and posts the well-curated collection every weekday.
Have you heard of curated blogs? I try to do a little of it here. Curated blogs link to other parts of the web: other stories, articles, videos. A couple of my favorites are Kottke.org, Minimal Mac, Daring Fireball and Shawn Blanc (the latter three are tech-related).
I just found out about Devour, which curates YouTube videos, and in less than 30 seconds I just realized why we change Daylight Savings Time.
I love these curated blogs for two reasons: (a) the websites are clean. No obnoxious YouTube comments. And (b), we have the vision of an Artist behind them. There's a sense of design. Just because everyone Likes, or votes 5 stars on a certain article or video doesn't make it great. But when you have a real Artist say that it's great, then it's worth looking into.
