These are my 10 fundamental beliefs on why I started this dog memory-keeping service:
DOGS ARE FAMILY.
We’ll do whatever it takes to keep them healthy, happy, and comfortable.
We’ll be their guardian angels.
And we’re unashamed in taking dozens of photos of them everyday, and sharing it with the world.
OUR DOGS ARE IRREPLACEABLE.
Every dog’s paw print, nose print, personality, and quirks are unique only to him or her.
No other dog could ever replace them.
LIFE IS SHORT,
BUT DOG LIVES ARE SHORTER.
When we became dog owners, we knew of the unfair reality that we’ll outlive them.
That’s why we savor every moment,
hug them so much, and document their everyday antics.
And when the time comes — our hearts our never ready —
they’ll know we gave them all of our love, affection, and care.
“DOGS ARE NOT OUR WHOLE LIVES,
BUT THEY MAKE OUR LIVES WHOLE.”
- Roger Caras
We don’t need our dogs like we need oxygen, water, and food.
(And neither do we need coffee, internet, and spa days).
Still, our dogs make life so much lighter, brighter, warmer,
sillier, louder, and crazier.
And owners of a million lint rollers.
DOGS + BEACHES
= HEAVEN ON EARTH.
There’s nothing like living in the warm west coast,
where we take our dogs down to the beach on a whim,
run our paws into the ocean waves,
paddle around the sand,
and enjoy the glowing California sunset.
DOGS PREFER THE OUTDOORS
And they make for playful, fun, gorgeous photographs.
BUT WE LOVE INDOOR LOOKS TOO.
And they make for clean, polished, elegant photographs.
OUR DOGS HATES IT WHEN
WE PUT CLOTHES ON THEM…
But it does make for an absolutely adorable photograph.
LESS = MORE.
QUALITY > QUANTITY.
You don’t need an online gallery with 300 photographs.
Just an 8x10 Album with 30.
You don’t need 3 pieces of small 8x10’s for one wall.
Just one large, gorgeous 40x60 artwork for that space above your coach.
A PHOTOGRAPH BELONGS IN PRINT.
Not in the digital space. The printed photograph is the final product.
To live and breathe, adorning the walls of your home, brightening the office,
inviting you to relax at the coffee table.
We want to savor an image, not scroll past it.
We want to bring it out to life, not hide it on our hard drives.
